A little bit about Sue:
Sue Scott has extensive knowledge of the body, gained from her background in classical and modern dance in Australia and Europe, that informs her practice at a deep level. Following a spinal injury, Sue was introduced to the healing qualities of Iyengar Yoga, and from there began teaching in 1992.

To study with her teachers Mr BKS Iyengar (Guruji), his daughter Geeta Iyengar, and granddaughter Abhijata Iyengar, Sue visits the Iyengar Yoga Institut e- RIMYI in Pune, India regularly.

Fully qualified directly from BKS Iyengar, Sue is a Senior Intermediate 1 Iyengar Yoga teacher and Teacher Trainer.
Sue's interest is to promote a deeper understanding of how to support and nurture a holistic and disciplined yoga practice while incorporating the fundamentals of yogic philosophy. Sue's teaching style, while welcoming and encouraging to all, emphasizes a rigorous and challenging approach to the practice of yoga asana and pranayama. Sue is known for her clarity in teaching the intricacies of yoga practice and teaching.

Here's what a few of the participants of 2013's workshop had to say:
Gem and I found Sues workshop last year a most memorable and enjoyable experience on all levels. From instruction point of view Sue is motivating & concise yet easily related to the novice through to our Vervie instructors in the room . No one felt it was too hard or unattainable although we were all at different stages of our practice. We had plenty of laughs yet learned so much to enhance our understanding & respect of our Iyengar yoga practice . We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to of had Sue Scott, well done Claire and Nath!

I was worried last year that I wasn't advanced enough to attend Sue's weekend yoga retreat, I didn't think I would physically be up to 10 hours of yoga however, it was a fantastic experience. The yoga classes were well paced with good breaks and Sue was very accommodating to all levels in the class certainly wasn't just for those amazing flexi yogis but we were all able to achieve at our own level and hear some great tips that I use every time I'm on the mat. I ll be lining up again this time!

I did Sue Scott's workshop in 2013, perhaps a little apprehensively as I was giving up my whole weekend. I was relatively new to yoga at the time, but at that stage was still finding out about key aspects of asanas. I had worked out that it's the little things that the yogis say that would help me understand these fundamentals and I found that Sue gave a rapid boost on my yoga journey.  I ended up enjoying the weekend with no regrets.

Mastering the art of squatting, deadlifting, and overhead pressing. This workshop focused on the elements of each movement that allow you to successfully perform them safely and get the most out of each lift. For more advanced lifters, this was an opportunity to hone in on your technique via video analysis and intricate coaching to allow you to lift more safely and get stronger in the process.

A supple, flexible body is not only paramount to keeping safe and injury free in the gym, but it also means freedom to move how you want, when you want, and get the most out of every session you participate in. In this interactive workshop, we hit each body part and the big important mobility exercises you can perform with foam rollers and bands to aid in recovery and progression of flexibility.

Armed with your last 10 days of nutrition, we discuss the biggest "bang for your buck" changes that can be made to your daily nutrition to see you dropping excess fat, performing at your peak and having more energy than ever. We show how to look at what you're eating (or not eating) and figure out ways in which to improve your health through nutrition.
