Physiotherapist & Yoga Instructor
Claire has had extensive experience within the sporting arena being the Paralympic Swim Team Sports Physiotherapist for 9 years, travelling to 2 Paralympic Games and many other overseas events. Claire started her student life with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in Nutrition. She then went on to study her Physiotherapy degree at Sydney University and over the next couple of years out in the field, felt she needed to dive deeper into the world of sports injuries. She worked closely with some of Australians leading Sports Physiotherapists whilst studying for her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy for 2 years in Queensland.
She was awarded her Masters Degree in late 2006 and became an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist in early 2007. Claire is also the Newcastle Hunter Area Manager for bounceREHAB, a physiotherapy led work-conditioning company that provides health care to injured workers. With her husband Nathan, she has studied many courses through the CHEK Institute and proudly uses her Level 2 Holistic Lifestyle Coach in conjunction with her injured clients, in order to offer a unique service focussed on holistic health and wellness.
Her Iyengar Yoga training formed the basis of the yoga program Claire now runs in Verve's Yoga Studio. She has a passion for the health of the human body and her infectious energy will leave you feeling recovered as soon as you walk in the door!
